Legal and Ethical Issue related to the Internet for Linked Light Rail

The most important legal and ethical issue related to the Internet for Linked Light Rail will be the Privacy and security Issue. This issue basically comes from the ORCA card which allows our customers to store money in the card for the ease of every traveling transaction. The ORCA card accept online payment and many of the personal information will be kept in the system. It is very important for the staff who run the system to self- regulate themselves not to expose any of the customer's e-mail or address to any of the company. Moreover, the credit card information should also be highly protected by the security system. Linked Light Rail should also have access to terminate any of the lost card and transfer the balance to the new one for those who has lost their cards. So that they money will not be used by someone else.

In addition, based on our recommendations to Linked Light Rail, we suggested to do mobile apps and some sort of reward policy. All these required to have the information from our customers. We must make sure that their information can be protected since mobile apps may not be well organized in this stage to protect the information.
