Chapter 7 Customer behavior online .

One of the most important social trends is that consumers trust each other more than they trust advertising or companies online. In the chapter 7, it also talks about goal-oriented individuals. Goal oriented individuals like the idea that they don’t have to deal with salespeople or crowds in the online environment, and they appreciate the online product selection, convenience, and information availability. Goal-oriented behavior often includes going to a specific website with a purpose in mind, or searching for the lowest price for a particular product. There are the five basic things that people do only: connect, create, enjoy and trade.

I think my client can work on “enjoy”. Consumers use internet to enjoy entertainment. For example, they search interest and creative video on Youtube. I think my client can create an interest video and post on Youtube and showing the video link on Facebook, Twitters, and website. Consumers will get the chance to see our interest video and wonder what the company is trying to sell; getting more attention from online users. From the book, it also talks about that one of the most important social trend is that consumers trust each other more than they trust advertising or companies online. More clearly, consumers trust more about customers’ review than advertising or companies. Consumers usually visit the sites to see other consumers’ experiences and commons. Therefore, my client needs to visit those sites to see what consumers’ opinion and learn from them in order to improve our products or services.
