Ch. 7 Consumer Behavior Online

I learned from Chapter 7 that one of the most important social trends that we should should keep in mind has always been consumers trust and rely on each other for information than advertising or companies online. When it comes to a decision making, they turns to a person like themselve and make decision according that person's suggestion.

Another aspect which I also think my client should takes into consideration is that when consumers go online and make any exchanges, they prefer less time cost but more benefits.

The concept of "flow" that the author mentioned ensures us that when consumers are online, they're not easily distracted. According to this fact, I would reccommend my client concentrate on making their Web site attractive or Facebook Fan page, enjoyable and engaging and much as they can to make customers feel they're receiving apropriate benefis for the time they spend online.

Give customers an oppotunity to create their contents is another way to engage them and also add value to the Web site since "create" is one of the five areas of consumer need and desire which resulted from the need to be connected.
