Ichiro Restaurant and Marketing Plan

1. Name of your client and what product/services they provide.
- Ichiro Restaurant which serves Korean and Japanese dishes.

2. Select which areas of social media are the best match for your client and, for this assignment, a short reason why.
- Facebook Page: that is a place where customers share their experiences and suggest any recommendations. If people check-in, it will also show how many people have checked-in at Ichiro. I think this one is the best match for Ichiro because the page has been recently launched and easy to track the number of fans.

- Ichiro Website: that has menu, price, location, contact information, customer feedback, restaurant history, awards, customers pictures, etc.
Even though many people use other unconventional media to look for particular information, many people still go to a company’s or brand’s website.

- There are many other social media but due to the limited time of this quarter and their willingness to participate in this project, I will be working on these. But, if there are any other good ways, I will definitely work on those as well.

3. You must include a formal word of mouth marketing plan so include the 5T's but for this assignment you don't need to identify each element of the 5T's unless you wish to.
- Make people talk about Ichiro.
- Give them topics to talk about.
- 5 Ts:
Talkers: college students and parents
Topics: price, quality
Tools: social media such as Facebook, Twitter, etc
Taking part: Ichiro and customers can join the conversation anytime anywhere via Facebook page.
Tracking: We will observe how fast the Facebook fan page grows by tracking the number of people who click the “Like” button.

4. Think about mobile and whether it could help your client. If so, what kind of mobile marketing are you looking at? QR code, phone app, iPad (tablet) app, and, for this assignment, a short reason why.
- Phone application:
- QR codes: discount coupons
- Location-based services eg. Check-ins
- Mobile website
- Test messaging

5. Does it make sense for your client to create an alliance with a partner for cause marketing? If so, for this assignment, a short reason why.
- I believe creating an alliance with students clubs at UW and maybe SU makes sense. When students associations have events, Ichiro can either fully or partially sponsor the events. This can give Ichiro a good publicity.

6. You should include ethical standards appropriate to your client.
- Cleanliness: We abide by the State’s rules when handling food.
- Delicious food: We are confident we will make the customers come back for good food.
- Customer service: We provide pleasant and satisfactory service to customers.
- Full disclosure of information: We disclose any changes to ownership or any information necessary.
