The Doctrine of Fair Use

Q: What is the doctrine of fair use and how should it be applied online?

The doctrine of fair use is to protect expression of ideas on both virtual and real societies including texts, data, books, recordings, and films. But fair use allows the ability to copy the contents for purposes of public activities as education, news, and editorial comments.  This doctrine can be presented online well when the awareness of copyright knowledge has been popularized that every taken source from original authors or the third party should be sited by proper citation. When the doctrine of fair use is presented well, it benefits those who are using the outside sources and those who express the ideas and contents. If we apply the doctrine of fair use to Woodinville Whisky, it would protect its unique ideas including DIY kits, contents of sticker, online content, and etc.
