What do you believe would be the most effective way for Seattle University to recruit students and why? I believe that creating world of month “ambassadors” go to speak to parents and high school seniors at targeted high schools would be the most effective way for Seattle University to recruit students. Most of parents and senior students do not which university is the best fit for them. Yep, they definitely will go to school website and search some information but it is still not enough for them. They still cannot know much about the environment and education systems. However, if ambassadors come to them and speak about SU’s education systems and the environment they might more welling to apply for SU because they directly speak to and hear from ambassadors. I personally had an experience about it. In Taiwan, junior high and high school are separated. Before we graduate from junior high we need to choose which high school we want to apply. At the time, my mom and I had no idea about which high school is the best for me. We were interesting in 5 or 6 high schools and had researched some information from their website, but we still didn’t know which one is the best for us. However, there was an ambassador from one of schools that we were interesting. She came to us, clearly talked about their educations systems and provided all information that we need. During the conversation, she was very nice and friendly and answered all questions that we asked. After that, my mom and I were very interesting about go into that school and make our final decision to that school. I also believe that create video for Facebook, Youtube, and the web of satisfied SU students would be the most effective way for Seattle University. I think that creating an interesting video not only can attract more people to watch the video but also can leads senior students to think about applying for SU. People like to share funny and interesting video with their friends. If SU has an interesting video on Youtube people will share with their friends and people will talk about it. It leads more people know about SU therefore when they apply for universities they might think about SU and research for it. Here is an example. This is a video that I watched from my friend’s facbook which is for University of British Columbia. The students in this video are very innovation, intelligent and passion. When I watched this video it made me want to become a UBC student.

2. Pick an online coupon you have used or would use and explain where you found it, why you use it, and why it's a benefit to you as a consumer. I just found this coupon website called “living Social.” This website provides different coupons every day. It will send out the coupon through email. So, I can know what they have every day. It has everything such as restaurants, bakeries, or everything that we might need for living. I think this is very nice website because I don’t have to find all coupons by myself. Everyday I just need to check my email or go to the website and see what they have for coupon. Especially, I really like to eat and try new restaurants. Sometime it provides really good deal of restaurant coupon.

3. How do you feel about getting ads on your cell phone in the form of coupon codes that would offer you 50% discounts or two-for-one at your favorite restaurant? I think I would love to because I can save money. It will be benefit for me because I don’t have to collect all the paper coupon in my wallet and sometime I don’t even remember to use them or sometime I don’t remember where I put them. But if I have coupon codes I can just save in my phone. I don’t need to find the place to collect them. I think this will be a good idea however, I don’t want to get the coupon that I wouldn’t ever to use them. For example, I would not want to get the coupon that is for car accessories because I do not have a car. So, it depends on what kind of coupons that I get. If it is something that I need and want I definitely would love to get them on my phone.
