My first impression. When I first read the syllabus, I was shocked when I saw the two tests only worth 20% of total grade while participation and attendance together worth 40% of the class grade. I was wondering myself "what's wrong with this class?". I felt stress about the class right before coming to class. When I came to class, I was surprised by a greeting from Professor. Then, only from the first day of class, I have already learned something new about Social Media through out the powerpoint and videos were showed in class. There were quite surprised for me to know how huge the impact of Social media is in real life today (Although, I knew it has great impact but still surprised for the stats showed in class).
What I have learned on the first day and through the first five chapters. As mentioned above, I was shock by the stats showed on the first day of class. I have learned how great the impact of Social Media and Word of Mouth has in real life, also learn how simple a meaningful commercial video can be made. I was even shock more when I read the first five chapters. I was shock to realize how simple to create a word of mouth. The rules, the methods were so simple that I haven't ever think that they can be used to create such a huge impact on marketing. It also so simple that I even don't know how I can start practice them although I understand what they are.
Overall, I have a big interest in this class so far and I am so eager to learn more new stuffs and become a master in Social Media and Word of Mouth after this class.
