QR Codes

QR Codes

QR codes may seem like wierd design of barcoding but it has many usual arenas of use. The barcode that I want to display through my personal project is essentially a QR that leads to the special offers platform on our Facebook Page. The QR codes will not only be accessible through our phone app./main webpage but it will also be available on our multicolored T shirts.

The multicolored T shirts will display the QR codes that you can do a quick scan with your phone to reach our special offers site as well. These shirts will be handed out during the promotional active friday's; an active event that feathered friends will hold for University students in the greater metropolitan area.

For those of you who dont know us the downloaded QR scanning application for a smartphone this is how you use it. When you see a QR code on a poster or billboard (or T-shirt) you open the scanning app and use the phone's camera to focus the code on your screen. The application will recognize the code an automatically open up the link, video or image in your phone's browser. You need an internet connection to access the content.

Many QR scanning applications--such as RedLaser are available for Android, IPhone, Blackberry and Symbian phones. The unique thing about QR codes is that they generate for free. For feathered friends it is basically free publicity!
