In today’s market, companies encourage their consumers open their store card in order to let them received extra discount, service and product information. However, social media and the QR code could mix this idea and make the own media even more powerful. QR code is short for Quick Response which means that they can be read quickly by a cell phone and it could store a lot data such as URL link, GEO coordinates and text. In Japan, QR Code empower in many people’s life. Almost every advertising, commercials, and magazine have different QR Codes and let people check all the products/ services anywhere anytime.
My client “ Experience Shoes Store “ is a local shoes store that already in business over 25 years. Currently, they already using Facebook, website and YouTube; however, personally I believed that QR Code will help consumers get information more easily. I am a Seattle University student major in marketing, and the following information is my idea to use QR Code in order to increase buzz, topic and positive consumers’ experience.
· Create “Experience Shoes Store QR Code “on the store cards in order to convenient customers put down store information to the phone since Experience Shoes Store is doing a lot customize shoes.
· In addition, if the store QR Code could provide extra discount point and connect with Facebook/ Foursquare check in feature, it not only helps the store do the free advertising but also benefit consumers in order to gain store awareness.
· Post the Experience Shoes Store QR Code on magazines or local news paper then connect the code directly to the store website. So people could check out their store website directly without even Google it.
Overall, I believed that QR Code will be the next revolution for the marketing industry and change people’s shopping style.
