A friend of mine has just opened up a bubble tea store in North Seattle a year ago called T-station. She said that the business is not going on so well, not because of the quality of the drinks or food, but because of the lack of marketing and word of mouth. This is why I choose T-Station as my personal project because I can fulfill my assignment while helping her out. QR code seems hard to use but it is actually very simple. Nowadays, QR codes doesnt only unsolved web links, pictures,etc; it also help Blackberry users to get a person's Blackberry Messenger pin. Before, we have to enter a person's 7 character's pin. Now, all we got to do is take a pic and it will add it self. QR codes has saves people's time and effort. It is simple to use and very attractive. Going back to my personal project, QR code can be used for T-station to help out spreading the words. T-station can put QR codes in their fliers, website, FB page so that customer can get up- to date for special events or promotion. The QR code will link up to If T-station can host hip events and if people are up-to-dated with it, they are most likely to talk about T-station more often. The QR code will also be available in front of the store,toilet(next to the mirror or light switch). From this, there will be a strong, positive word of mouth that we are looking for. There are many more things that can be done using QR code, its just that T-station is a very small company and this first idea should be done first in order to take the next big steps.
