QR Codes

Where I think my company can use QR codes in two areas are in training videos and early buy discounts. One thing we are going to start doing for my company is doing training videos with the reps and a main product for that line.

For example we carry Daiwa fishing gear, so we would have a video of the rep doing a quick product demo that will highlight some of the key selling points of the newest fishing reel. We can put a QR code in with the shipment so that if a salesman in the retail store has some questions, and needs some quick selling points, they can watch the training video and sound somewhat intelligent. Where this will be difficult is producing enough movies for the unique product lines we carry, and figuring out how we are going to put a QR code on the product, or on the shipment that does not come from the factory, but is coming from us.

A second way we can use promo codes is that when one of our factories is having an early buy discount, we can use a QR code to lead them to an order form where they can take advantage of the savings. This would be great because it would almost force our customers to use the QR codes in order to receive the discounts. We could have the order form also have a link to our Facebook and Twitter to encourage people to be friends with us on those platforms as well. We would have to put the QR codes on different product catalogs, or order forms.
