Cause Marketing Campaign

Today's blog about Cause Marketing is a perfect topic for my client. He is a fairly new business that is looking to get his name out there in the public eye, and he knows part of the way in which to do this is to support a good cause. Initially, my client created Japan Relief cards that he sold for $5.00. All profits that he made from these sales were donated to the Red Cross. Although this was a great idea, he didn't actually partner with the Red Cross in order to gain full publicity from the campaign. In the following part of the blog, I will suggest how my client can take this idea and capitalize on it.

1. My client: Pike Street Press, owned and operated by Sean Brown. Pike Street Press is a new company that just opened March 14th. The company focuses in printing ready-made and custom-order letterpress ephemera.

2. My client should associate/partner with the non-profit group, Tell Them Thanks. TellThemThanks.com is a non-profit group dedicated to supporting troups overseas by making sure that every soldier's name get's called at Mail Call. Members are required to "adopt a soldier," and send at least one letter a month to show their support. Many write more often and send care packages as well.

3. My campaign idea to partner with TellThemThanks.com would involve Pike Street Press making special Thankyou and Greeting cards fro TellThemThanks that members could use to send overseas. A soldier that receives a fine-printed letterpress thankyou card would feel pretty special, don't you think. Especially if the card was personalized. Doing so would help Sean's business support a good cause and help create brand awareness among the members who are using Sean's cards to send overseas.

4. Social media would be used to advertise the campaign on Pike Street Press' website, on TellThemThanks.com, and via Twitter. Those who retweeted about the campaign could also get a free set of 10 greeting cards from Pike Street Press, their pick! This would help promote the campaign and show was else Pike Street Press has to offer.

Well, until next time!

Rachel
