1. What did you learn that is "new" from the survey?
I was surprised to know that only 22% of companies are doing social media as a vehicle for advertising. I expected the percentage would be much higher than that since social media has had great impact on people behavior nowadays. Companies should spend more budget into advertising on social media because it is the fastest and broadest way to reach customers. Old style of advertising is now out-of-date and shouldn't be utilized with large amount of cash.
I also was confused about the difference in percentage of Iphone apps and Ipad apps. I thought they bought share same apps and same Apps Store from Apple, so why there is a difference?
2. What did you read that sparked an idea for your personal project client and how might that idea be used?
I think it will be good to have each customer to have a personalize account on the website to keep track of their sandwiches' preferences, frequency and behavior. Then make suggestion or discount based on these information, in order to gain more consumption from their favorite picks or expand their choices on other options. This will also make a fast check out which gain more convenience for customer when go shopping.
Also utilize Facebook to create a campaign for customer to think of new sandwiches for Jimmy Johns. This could be a great opportunity to hear from customers and learn about what they want from our company. And improve the quality of sandwiches.
