Adobe Digital Trends Survey 2011

1. What did you learn that is "new" from the survey?
I learned that personalization features continue to be among the least deployed tactics. I thought personalization had been very popular and widely deployed.
According the article, it shows marketers “perceive hurdles to implementing personalization” while they “see the value of personalization techniques to tailor content and offers to their target.” I guess there are issues with implementation even though phones are so widely used and marketers see the vast potential.

2. What did you read that sparked an idea for your personal project client and how might that idea be used?
What sparkled and strengthened an idea for my personal project client is that part where the articles talks about many businesses are using social media to build the relationships with customers. I would like to promote Ichiro’s advertising and offers in the online world. As we saw a video in class which was about Facebook will be the place where businesses come to advertise themselves and customers to purchase things. I would like to make Ichiro’s Facebook page the “fertile ground for commerce” to come for customers to share their experiences, to get promotional coupons, to get updates in new menus, etc.
I would like to reach existing and new customers of Ichiro restaurant using Facebook and social media.
